Overview
Advanced Practice Esthetics (500)
This exceptional program not only guides you toward acquiring your Esthiology license but also empowers you to concurrently achieve your Advanced Practice Esthetics license. The Advanced Practice Esthetics-Combined course encompasses a diverse curriculum: 120 hours of preclinical instruction delve into essential topics such as the science of anatomy, dermatology, and chemistry as they relate to skincare, along with infection control, safety protocols, Minnesota regulations, student orientation, and foundational service skills. An additional 48 hours cover applied science and skills in cosmetic skincare procedures, client consultations, skin analysis, makeup application, and waxing.
Moreover, the program includes an intensive 432 hours of planned clinical instruction encompassing cosmetic skincare procedures, client consultations, skin analysis, makeup application, and waxing. Additionally, 210 hours are dedicated to advanced subjects including skin histology, the lymphatic system, wound healing, skin classification, dermatological disorders, advanced skincare treatments, chemistry, product ingredients, electrical and light energy applications, client consultations based on skin type and medical history, infection control, and safety measures. Further enhancing the practical experience, the curriculum also entails 290 hours of clinical instruction involving skin analysis, client consultations, infection control, safety procedures, electrical and light energy facials, lymphatic drainage, advanced extractions, skin needling, dermaplaning, and advanced peels.
Upon successful completion of the training, you will have fulfilled the state-mandated hours for coordinated theory and hands-on experience in the applied sciences of Advanced Practice Esthetics. This achievement qualifies you to confidently sit for the Minnesota State Licensing Exam, marking a significant step toward your professional journey in the field of Advanced Practice Esthetics.
