Kendall did a great job cutting my hair!!!! I will be returning to her when I need my next hair cut!!!!!’

Reina was so amazing! She did a great job on my haircut and she made my daughter (who hates getting her haircut) feel very comfortable. She was very kind and careful with the haircuts! And they look great!

I know it’s a school learning center however, her instructor only came by in the beginning and end. She was struggling through out the 3.5 hours of my nail appointment. She was very personable and pleasant but had no idea what she was doing. 2 hours after my appointment 6 nails popped off. I told her she wasn’t putting enough glue on the tips but said it was enough. The acrylic was extremely thick and on my skin. The polish was sticky and gloppy so she had a difficult time painting when she made mistakes she used a towel to whip it off leaving lint and hair on it then she painted over the lint. During all of this I tried to have her get her instructor but she said she couldn’t find her. Finally when done I was late going back to work and said I didn’t have time to have her redo anything. I know it is a school and I respect that but she had no guidance and the products she was using was subpar.

I have been getting my hair braided by the gals at nova I’ve gone through 34 of them. They’ve all graduated now and every single time I’ve had it braided the hair. The braid has been so cool and so nice and I recommend them for having your hair done makes you feel good and it also is very affordable.

A little sad but mostly excited for my favorite hairdresser Vanessa to graduate! I can wait to support her in her career!

Came in for a brow tint , and left with exactly what I was looking for. Kyah was very nice, made me comfortable and was very social with me. I enjoyed my experience. Definitely will be back.

Beth was a very good technician. She knew what she was doing and explained things as she went along. Enjoyed my time there.

Julie did a fantastic job on my toes. I had skin on my pinky toes that had overgrown and she was very gentle and removed most of it. Pleasant conversation throughout the entire appointment. I highly recommend her for a gel pedicure.

My stylist Ivy was very professional and did a good job with my haircut. She was very friendly and asked questions before cutting my hair.

I had Gracie cut about 11 inches off of my hair. She did a great job and took her time to make sure it was all even, she was also very polite and talked with me the entire time.

Today was the most ridiculous haircut appointment I have ever had! After the consultation with the instructor the student began to "cut" my hair. I was having an inch taken off but she took the tiniest amount of the tip of my hair. At times I don't even think she took anything off. I thought maybe it was her method and she would begin to cut my hair the way we had discussed after she did whatever she was doing It didn't get better. There was literally no visible hair on the floor. She trimmed my bangs and I wondered when she was going to begin getting to the main part of my haircut. Instead she handed me a mirror so I could see the back! I cannot stress enough just how little she trimmed off the ends. She didn't even attempt the cut I had asked for by doing the face framing layers.I told her she hadn't even cut an inch off. She said she did. I looked at the floor and said there's no hair on the floor. She tried to say my hair was fine so I guess that means invisible? I asked her just to get the instructor. When the instructor came she asked what more I wanted done! I said she hadn't done anything really yet so I wanted the cut I asked for. She swept and tried to tell me there was an inch of hair removed. My hair is fine but every other haircut I have ever had you could see the hair that was cut. I didn't appreciate the gaslighting when I could see with my own eyes there was no hair cut except maybe a tiny tip here and there and even that is being charitable. Since they were saying my hair was cut when I could see it wasn't I said fine, I was done. The instructor said the student needs to learn and I shouldn't run off because she can't learn that way. The issue was more the fact the two of them were telling me my hair was cut when there was no hair clippings it had not been cut. The instructor began cutting my hair. She said she took another half inch off which was impossible because an inch wasn't cut in the first place! I mentioned the front and she said we are working on the back so I guess I wasn't supposed to mention that wasn't done either. She treated me like I was just being difficult. The instructor cut my hair so she wasn't even having the student do it during this learning experience she was supposedly having. She then cut the front. Meanwhile asking if I had ever been there before. Inferring I didn't understand the how having my haircut at a school works. I have been there around four times prior and understand how it works. I have never had an experience like this before. The student isn't going to learn if she is fearful of cutting hair. The instructor said she wasn't fearful but honestly I couldn't think of any other reason someone would "cut" hair like that. The instructor going along with this farce saying she had cut an inch off isn't going to train competent hair dressers. Especially when the client can see the hair was not cut! Then trying to treat me like I was being unreasonable because I pointed out my hair wasn't cut Then trying to tell me so fine that an inch wouldn't be visible on the floor was ridiculous. I was really upset by this whole situation. The gaslighting, the attempt to make me seem unreasonable, the lack of customer service was astounding. Hopefully this was a one off because like I said..All my other appointments had all been good. This one definitely was not. The instructor needs to instruct and the student needs to gain some confidence.

I received a facial and wax by Josie K. My skin has felt great for days, and my eyebrows came out sharp and exactly as I asked for. The facial was incredibly relaxing with a scalp and shoulder massage. I will be returning!

I highly recommend Kendall D. for your services! In the past, I’ve had a challenge with getting the tone and color just right… well I’ve found the girl for the job! I came in to Nova Mankato for a color and she gave me exactly what I’ve been wanting all along! Exact color and tone! Plus my hair is so shiny— previously when I’ve had my hair colored at other professional salons, it would be too much on the warm side and dull looking. That’s definitely not the case any longer— I wasn’t expecting to love my hair color this much… and the shine— it’s amazing! Kendall is my new go-to hairstylist from now on! She recommended amazing products for my hair type— ask her for a product recommendation for yours as well!
